Chatasa began as Bestea and was started by two stay-at-home moms on a mission. We put our careers on hold to stay home with our kids and when we were ready to re-enter the workforce, we encountered a huge challenge; finding an employer to give us a chance. Even with college degrees and prior work experience, we found it difficult to transition to working mom status. We eventually realized our efforts seemed to be going unnoticed, so we decided to take a chance on ourselves. And Chatasa was born.

Why Thai iced tea? Because it’s delicious! And we noticed the lack of readily available and easily accessible options in the area. We started out gifting the tea to family and friends during the holidays and when we saw how well-received it was, we decided we should spread the Thai iced tea love beyond our circle. The amount of support we’ve received from the community has been amazing and is our driving force to make Chatasa succeed.​ We have since added a hibiscus iced tea and plan to add more in the future.
